The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission has concluded its investigation into DeFi protocol Aave, bringing an end to a regulatory process that lasted nearly four years, according to Aave founder Stani Kulechov.

Aave Labs, the developer behind one of crypto’s largest decentralized lending protocols, announced Monday that its new consumer app has officially launched on Apple’s European App Store. The firm also opened a global waitlist, signaling its first major push toward broad retail adoption.

Ripple has expanded its decentralized finance (DeFi) footprint with the integration of its RLUSD stablecoin into Aave Labs’ new for real-world assets (RWAs).

Bitcoin is currently trying to bounce back above $110k while still holding a commanding 59% of the crypto market. This dominance has left many altcoins struggling for attention, but market analyst Michael van de Poppe sees this as just the beginning.

Altcoins have started showing renewed strength against both BTC and USD, sparking optimism for a broader market breakout. Several tokens, including AAVE, ONDO, XRP, and NEAR, are now revealing classic accumulation patterns and breakout structures on their charts.

According to on-chain tracker Lookonchain, two high-profile whales collectively purchased 29,739 AAVE tokens worth approximately $7.5 million on June 6.

Recent market sentiment shows a trend toward decreased volatility and wider accumulation of major cryptocurrencies. With price corrections easing and institutional risk appetite slowly returning, many altcoins from the 2021 cycle are once again drawing interest. Investors are reassessing established projects such as VeChain ($VET), Quant ($QNT), Aave ($AAVE), and Hedera ($HBAR), which provide proven use cases and enhanced technical frameworks.
